Whilst some quite superb golf from world no.1 Scottie Scheffler proved to be the difference at the BMW Championship, any disappointment from the Final Round at Maryland was soon forgotten as the result of Bob's excellent week brought even more success.
Starting the week in 16th place on the OWGR, Bob's 2nd place finish moved him into the World's top 10 for the first time, and he now sits at a career-high 8th place on the OWGR.
There was more good news to follow as he was also confirmed as one of Luke Donald's 6 automatic qualifiers for next month's Ryder Cup at Bethpage. Whilst Bob's form this year has been consistent and impressive throughout the season, he was delighted to secure one of the automatic spots and guarantee his place in New York, where he will represent Team Europe for the second time.

In his rookie appearance in the Ryder Cup in Rome in 2023, Bob remained unbeaten and secured 2½ points as Europe won a 16½ - 11½ victory over the USA, at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.
In spite of all the excitement happening around him, Bob now turns his mind to his last event of the PGA Tour season at the Tour Championship at East Lake. Currently sitting in 9th place on the FedEx Cup rankings, Bob will be hoping that he can make a serious challenge against the top 30 players on this year's PGA Tour.
After this week, Bob will then return to Europe where he will play in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth in early September, before returning to the States at the end of the month with Luke Donald and his team mates to defend the Ryder Cup.
