Calum Hill narrowly misses out at the Kenya Savannah Classic

Calum Hill came very close to a first European Tour win at the Kenya Savannah Classic, but narrowly missed out to South Africa's Danie van Tonder who won in a play-off with Thailand's Jazz Janewattananond.

In the second of two back-to-back events at the Karen Country Club in Nairobi, Calum's final round, 7-under par, 64 was bogey-free until the final hole, when he narrowly missed a put that would have included him in the play-off.

This tie for 3rd place was, however, another good week for him, and this result moved Calum up to 16th place on the Race to Dubai.

He now has a few weeks off before he is back in action at the Austrian Open in Vienna.

Liam Johnston also had a strong week in only his second outing this year, and finished in a tie for 26th place.
