Bob MacIntyre made it two-from-two when he helped Team Europe retain the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in New York.
Despite starting the Final Session with a record lead of 11½-4½, it ended up in a nail-biting climax for the Europeans who, although well-beaten in the Singles matches, still secured enough points for a 15-13 victory.
Bob was playing in the anchor match, and it was looking evermore likely that the outcome would come down to this final game, however ½ points from Shane Lowry and Tyrrell Hatton secured the win, before Bob earned another ½ point against Sam Burns to put clear daylight between both teams.

Earlier in the weekend, Bob teamed up with Norway’s Viktor Hovland in the foursomes on both Friday and Saturday. Whilst just losing out to Xander Schauffele and Patrick Cantley on the final hole on the Friday morning, they then took out Scottie Scheffler & Russell Henley (currently the world no. 1 & no.3) again on the final hole on the Saturday morning session.
Europe will now celebrate only their 5th win on American soil, before looking forward to making it 3 in a row at Adare Manor in Ireland in 2027.
