Grant Forrest ties up new Atexa partnership

Grant Forrest has today agreed a new, exciting partnership with East Kilbride-based fire, security and technology solutions business, Atexa.

As a Brand Ambassador for Atexa, Grant will represent them on the DP World Tour across the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Grant, who turned professional in 2016, has experienced success at every level he has played at. He earned his DP World Tour card in 2019 and has been ever present on Europe’s top stage ever since. He has one DP World Tour title to his name, the Hero Open, which he won on home soil in 2021 at Fairmont, St. Andrews.

He regularly performs well in the bigger events, and last year finished in a tie for 5th place in the Amgen Irish Open, and a tie for 3rd place at the acciona Open de España. These results helped him continue his run of qualifying for the year-end DP World Tour Finals in Dubai.

Atexa was launched in 2020 and operates throughout the UK. Whilst still a relatively young company within the fire, security and technology solutions business, there is huge industry experience within the team, and also an established experience with the golfing world. Previously, Atexa Managing Director, Jim Williamson, had worked with European Ryder Cup player, and now Junior Ryder Cup Captain, Stephen Gallacher, so he is very aware of the success that this partnership can bring.

Jim Williamson said: “I have known and followed Grant for many years, and we are very excited to be working with him, and to be part of his continued success. He is a great ambassador for Scottish Golf and a fantastic role model for young boys and girls who have dreams of following him into professional golf. He has achieved so much in his career so far, and still has huge potential. We are proud to have our name associated with him, and we are really looking forward to supporting him this week at the Genesis Scottish Open.

Grant will be competing on his home course this week at The Renaissance Club, where he is also an ambassador for The Renaissance Club Charitable Foundation.

Speaking before he attempts to emulate Bob MacIntyre’s winning performance last year, Grant said: “I am very pleased to be working with Atexa, and to have them as part of my team. They have a deep knowledge of golf and the DP World Tour, and they know how much I love competing in Scotland, and especially at The Renaissance Club. My one DP World Tour victory was here at home, and it would be even more special to follow that up with more success in front of the Scottish fans and my friends and family this week.”

Iain Stoddart from Bounce Sport said: “We are delighted to launch this new partnership with Atexa and Grant, and importantly to continue our long-standing relationship with Jim and his team. Grant has proved himself to be a headliner on the DP World Tour for many years, and his goals and ambitions now are as exciting as they were when he joined the DP World Tour back in 2019. There is no doubt he has the ability to win more events, and we look forward to working with Atexa and Grant as his professional career develops.”
